Hello Coahoma FFA Boosters and Supporters,
Have some GREAT news to report to you all. Coahoma FFA qualified TWO teams for State Leadership Contest this past weekend!! Our Public Relations team of Morgan Luce, Laurel Nix, Savannah Neff, and Jessi Morgan along with our FFA Farm Radio team of Emilea Brumley, Alex Gibbs, and Kenzie Moore both placed second and entered the top 20 in the State that will get to compete in these events. It is a HUGE accomplishment! In the last 10 years, we have only had 2 other teams make it to State – both in the Public Relations contest.
We also had Alex Gibbs place 4th in the Area in Jr Creed which is the highest we have had a kid place at Area in a Creed contest in the last 10 years! She will also be the first Freshman to make it to the State contest in a Leadership event from Coahoma in over 10 years.
Jessi Morgan was 7th in Sr Creed – Jessi was never beat in District contest and this was her 4th year to advance to Area in the contest. She didn’t make it to state in Creed, but we are very proud of her run with her Creed speaking.
Our Jr Quiz teams of Chris Biddison, Braxton Iden, Coley Rinard, and Katie King were 12th and our team of Brody Coates, Kip Williams, and Philip Bacon were 13th. This year had the highest scores of any contest in years so we are really proud of them as well.
These kids have put in a bunch of work. I am very proud of them and knew you would all want to know!
